  • Sleeping bag - zero degrees Fahrenheit
  • Sleeping pad - Thermarest or Ensolite
  • Sturdy hiking boots
  • Wool socks & sock liners
  • Gaiters

  • Hat - with brim to keep sun off face and neck
  • Wool cap
  • Good quality sunglasses
  • Water purification system - pills & pump
  • Water bottles
  • Medicines for common trekking ailments - bad stomach, blisters, sunburn, etc....
  • Comfortable pants
  • Sweater or fleece and other articles suitable for layering
  • Warm jacket
  • Scarf - to keep dust and sun away from face
  • Rain clothes
  • Day pack
  • Duffel bag and rain cover for porters to carry your gear
  • Inflatable wash basin
  • Environmentally safe soap
  • Flashlight
  • Knife
  • Comfortable shoes for “around camp” and river crossings
  • Trail snacks - bars, tang, nuts, dried fruit, etc....
  • Sewing kit and tape
  • Toilet paper
  • Trekking Poles
  • Harness (for Snow Lake Biafo Hispar Traverse,  Gondogoro La, Trek to the Edge of Tartary, Nanga Parbat and Mazeno Pass, Shimshal Trek, )
  • Helmet, ice axe and crampons  (for Gondogoro La only)

Note:

For clothing please keep an extra dry piece for when needed - socks, shirt etc....

Remember to keep the total weight  of your trekking equipment and belongings which
are to be carried by porters to under 15 kg or 33 lb
